Everyone starts at the Learning Stage.
Was it at church? a restaurant? a concert? maybe it was a friend or family member. Either way I'm sure you remember the first time you saw a performance that left you wishing you could or promising yourself someday you would LEARN TO PLAY. The Learning Stage is here to get you there. There is no standard curriculum. Your goals determine the course. At the Learning Stage you will work with instructors that want you to get where you wanna go. Praise and worship on Sunday mornings the main stage at Hot Summer Nights or sharing the music in your head with the people around you. The Learning Stage is Sherman, Texas' home for music education and guitar repair — built by musicians, for musicians.
Where it started.
The Learning Stage was founded on a simple belief: that learning music should feel like an adventure, not a chore — and that every instrument deserves to be played at its best.
What started as a small teaching studio grew into a full-service music shop, adding guitar repair when it became clear that our students — and the wider Sherman community — needed a local craftsman they could trust.
Today we offer private and group lessons across five instruments, and a repair bench that handles everything from a quick setup to a full structural restoration. We're proud to be part of the Sherman music community.
How we do things.
Personalized Teaching
No two students are the same. We build lessons around your goals, your pace, and the music you actually love — not a generic curriculum.
Honest Craft
Every repair is quoted before work begins. No surprises, no upselling. Just straight talk and skilled hands.
Real Experience
Our instructors and repair techs are working musicians. They bring stage and studio experience into every lesson and every job.
Community First
We're a local shop, not a franchise. We care about Sherman's music scene and the students and players who make it what it is.
The people behind the stage.
Our instructors are performers and educators who are genuinely passionate about music and about helping students find their own voice. Update these profiles with your real team.
